Jordann Baker

Jordann Baker's work combines grace and raw athleticism into stunning aerial performance. Her performances on silks, trapeze and lyra are as elegant as they are dramatic, as this 5'10" performer effortlessly dances in the air.

Jordann teaches weekly aerial classes to over 65 students of all ages and backgrounds. Recently, Jordann has choreographed aerial pieces for The Alchemy of Light by Ruth Sergel and assistant choreographed a piece in collaboration Parsons Dance and the East Village Opera Company. In March of 2008, Jordann wrote, produced, choreographed and directed AHOY!, an aquatic aerial experience.

She has trained with Elsie & Serenity Smith, Kevin O'Connor, Jacinthe Tremblay and performed in places like The Zipper Theater, Speigeltent, Mansion, S.L.A.M, Galapagos Art Space, the House of Yes and in El Salvador. Her choreography has appeared at the Joyce and HERE theaters. Jordann is an integral member and collaborating artist at the House of Yes.
